Have you ever stopped to think about just how intelligent our bodies are?
When we cut ourselves, we simply clean the wound, pop a Band-Aid on and a few days later it has healed! Well for me - that is the healing energy of Reiki.
Our body intuitively and naturally knows how to heal itself.....sometimes we just need to get out of its way!
Reiki was developed by Mikao Usui, a Japanese Buddhist, in 1922. The word can be broken down into two meanings. “Rei” means God’s wisdom or higher power. “Ki” is the life force energy. When combined, Reiki is the spiritually guided life force energy.
Reiki is a simple, natural healing system where a practitioner places their hands on various energy centers of the body, from head to toe, activating the flow of energy. Reiki increases our natural life force energy to bring about a state of balance for mind, body and soul.
I use hands on healing through which that healing energy is transferred through to my client in order to encourage emotional and physical healing and wellness.
Benefits of energy healing
A single Reiki session may help your autonomic nervous system, the primitive part of your nervous system that you don’t need to consciously control (it's responsible for things like heartbeat and breathing), move from a sympathetic-dominant, or “fight-or-flight” state, to a parasympathetic-dominant, or “rest-and-digest” state.
Reiki Energy Healing
Treats the symptoms and causes of illness on whatever level it exists. The Reiki experience uses calming and peaceful techniques to clear your mind rather than simply targeting your body physically.
Promotes a greater sense of wellbeing and peace. Pain often causes depression and anxiety. Reducing difficult-to-treat chronic pain can have a substantial effect on psychological well-being.
Balances hormones from PMS, menopause and fertility issues. Reiki helps to balance the chakra system, and especially with menopause or perimenopause, the sacral chakra is most likely affected.
Accelerates recovery from medical treatments and operations. Reiki can help all injuries heal faster. These include sprains, strained muscles, bruises, broken bones and even worse.
Alleviates stress and alignments attributed to stress.
Reiki gives your body a break from the stresses of daily life, helping your body return to a state of relaxation. Once in this state, your body is able to heal any damage brought on by stress, injury, or disease.
Induces a state of deep relaxation and aids in restoring the body. Reiki gently and effectively opens blocked meridians and chakras, and clears the energy bodies, leaving one feeling relaxed and at peace.
Aids in recovery and eases muscle pain.
Reiki is a natural way to alleviate pain and can be used as a complementary therapy to treat different kinds of pain, including chronic pain.
Relieves allergies as well as headaches.
As well as dealing with the physical pain of the ache in your head, Reiki will also work on the emotional and unconscious ways in which you put pressure on yourself and expect perfection from yourself., providing for relief.
Releases blocked and suppressed feelings.
Reiki treatments may be used as part of a treatment plan to help relieve depression. Reiki treatment may result in more feelings of relaxation, increased curiosity, and enhanced levels of self-care.
Brings relief from chronic pain and improves joint mobility. Reiki is meant to resolve emotional distress by allowing healing energy to flow freely throughout the body, which results in relaxation and reduced pain and tension throughout the body.
Regulates blood pressure and strengthens the immune system. Reiki can improve mood, support sleep & induce feelings of relaxation - all contributing to lower blood pressure. Over a period of many years, our immune system may become overprotective, attacking our normal cells, resulting in autoimmune disorders such as asthma, arthritis, psoriasis, Crohn’s disease, vasculitis, and fibromyalgia. Reiki will help re-balance our immune system.
Clears bodily toxins and balances the organs and glands. Reiki is used to remind our bodies how to go back into the “repair” or “self-healing” state of rest and digest. By triggering this state, our bodies begin to cleanse themselves of useless energies. It also allows the body to protect itself from exhaustion, burnout, or immune system failure.
